Karin was born in Sweden and has since early years had a passion for the arts. From the age of five, she played the cello and later on started to sing as well as to enjoy both painting and drawing. She won several prizes in local competitions for her artwork. Karin continued to study both music and fine art in Sweden and the US, as well as London.
After achieving a degree in Interior architecture/design in London, she worked for several years as an Interior Designer in the city. Starting to miss painting and a different way of expressing her artistic side, Karin started to paint again.
Over the last two years, Karin has gone through a creative explorative stage, in various mediums, tools as well as topics. Her latest work is a series of abstract paintings derived from life events and nature, and she is currently working towards a summer exhibition.
Her aim is to evoke/communicate various emotions and experiences of life, and with her abstract style, wants to leave the viewer with her/his own interpretation of her artwork.
Karin will happily work to commission – work undertaken in acrylics, oil and mixed media. A portfolio with a larger variety of work can be viewed upon request.
