July 2006
Lynn and Colin MacAskill of Fish Frames, together with their daughter Chloe, Lynn’s brother Neil and Uncle and Aunt, Terry and Enid, are walking across Hadrian’s Wall in July to raise money for charity.
Lynn and Colin have teamed up with the Rotary Club of Croydon East in a sponsored walk across the Wall. ‘That way’, says Lynn, ‘ we know all the money raised will go to local charities. My Uncle is President of his local Rotary Club in Warrington, and the money he raises will be going there. We have wanted to walk across the Wall for some years, and this is an ideal opportunity to fulfil that ambition, as well as raise money for charity.’
The family will be starting at the Newcastle end of the Wall, at Heddon-on-the-Wall on Monday 10th July. They will arrive at the west coast at Bowness-on- Solway, some 72 miles, 6 days and hopefully not too sore feet, later. Sponsor forms will be available in Fish Frames, on the Shirley Inn Parade, together with details of their route. Lynn will be delighted to see anyone who wants to know more and who would like to sponsor them.
